Why We Love – Staying Awake

Artist: Why We Love
Single: Staying Awake

Release Date: 23rd February 2016

I am happy to share the fresh sound from Why We Love today. They are  an alternative pop indie 4 piece band from Bristol in England.

Why We Love will be releasing their second EP “The Boy You Knew” on 25th March 2016. Their new single “Staying Awake” is the second single from their forthcoming EP following “Lucky One”, which was released in January.
“Staying Awake” begins without any instrumental intro, the higher tone vocals are totally exposed simply with acoustic guitar. As the song goes on, other instruments join in, the tune changes to become more uplifting and moves into a foot tapping mood. The chorus parts are gentle and highly enjoyable. The lyrics are sentimental and sweet. This is a fresh sound which is perfect for the early spring time.

Why We Love are a sibling-fronted Alternative Pop Indie band based in Bristol and Cardiff, from the South West of Britain. They exploded onto the Bristol scene in May 2014 with their debut single ‘Patina’, and found their feet playing sold-out shows with Wolf Alice, Slow Club, Teleman & Wave Pictures.

The band are instantly recognisable for their charming brand of sparkly guitar pop, bittersweet lyrics and blood harmonies, all showcased in energetic live shows. Their previous releases confirmed Why We Love’s status as one of Bristol’s most up and coming acts. They are definitely the one to watch this year.

Why We Love‘s Music is what makes you dance, sing and cry.
