Screams From The Sun
Keep On Running
Screams From The Sun are an emerging Synth Pop Rock duo based in London, and they have just released the animated music video for “Keep On Running”. With 275 video references, 3720 drawings and 3 months of work, they are very pleased to finally share the video with fans and other music lovers. The duo comments “Hope you guys love this little gem. When we wrote the song, we knew it would have been a special one for us and we wanted to express every concept behind it.” Indeed, they have done extraordinary with this video and captured all the moves amazingly.
The song “Keep On Running” was originally released in November 2020. The song itself is simpler than what they have released before. Though because of that, they were able to bring this up-tempo foot-tapping song with positive energies and full of hope. Enjoy!

Blank Atlas
I Feel Great
Bristol based alternative rock band Blank Atlas released their new music video today. It is a makes you feel happy and/or makes you smile video, which the band show the move which I can just manage to do as a 2 minutes daily exercise. Their harmonies are fresh and stunning as ever!
Due to the current Coronavirus situation, they had to postpone all of their gigs which has planned in March and April. They were so excited to do shows with their (and our) favourite bands TIRADE and Donnie Willow. This is how Blank Atlas have been using all of their free time recently. Enjoy!
The band tells about their shows; “There is nothing we can do other than sit this thing out and postpone these dates for later In the year! We are already in talks to when they’re being rescheduled to and will let you know as soon as everything is confirmed.
Look after yourselves people and WASH YOUR HANDS FOR GODSAKE.”

Artist: The Jade Assembly
New Music Video: Got My Star
Release Date: 16th October 2017
It is a year since Bolton’s mighty indie rock band The Jade Assembly released their latest EP ‘Sundays and Occasional Wednesdays’. Today the band released the new music video for their forthcoming single ‘Got My Star’ which is due to be released on 6th November 2017 digitally and will be on vinyl too. So ‘Got My Star’ is coupled with a B-side ‘Save One For Me’. These two songs contrast each other, but at the same time are complimentary.
Lead singer John Foz Foster passionately performs with charisma. His honest lyrics bare a strengthening and poetic truth with the magnetic flare of an assured front man. Andy Watson and Danny Hayes keep a formidable rhythm section whilst Gareth Smed Smedley strikes raw vigour on lead guitar. With their compelling commitment, The Jade Assembly generate a magnetic sense of purpose.
“‘Got My Star’ is written about striving for something in your life for so long but then you meet someone and nothing else really matters because you’re happy to be with that person. Foz writes the lyrics and the melody and then brings the tune to the rest of the band and we add our bits to create the full sound, which is the normal process for us. We’ve recorded this song with Gavin Monaghan – legendary producer at his Magic Garden Studio in Wolverhampton where we had a great weekend and came away with something we’re really happy and proud of . We’re also releasing the single with Magic Garden vinyl which we’re really excited about. It’s a song that came together very quickly in a few days and was recorded and mixed in 2 days. The song is upbeat and always gets the crowd going when we play it live. We’re really buzzing for everyone to hear it.” – The Jade Assembly

22nd October: Leeds – Bier Keller
2nd November: London – The Monarch (This Feeling)

Artist: Seven Stories High
New Music Video: Apathy
Release Date: 11th October 2017
Following the recent announcement of their forthcoming EP ‘Deadweight’, Swansea pop punk quintet Seven Stories High have unveiled the music video for ‘Apathy’.
‘Deadweight’ will be self-released on 24th November, and it includes an instant grat of their latest single ‘Apathy’. It is based on the tale of King Midas, but adapted to focus on struggles of mental health, the band have said “We have all, either personally or through someone close to us, dealt with mental health and it was our hope that perhaps someone who was struggling would get something out of this.”
The EP flows as one piece of music, with each track written to fit the narrative, whilst being open enough to interpretation for listeners to make a personal connection.
“The video was written by us together and filmed by Alex-Jay Moore (Alex-Jay Photography). The video, much like the EP, is playing into our version of the Greek Myth of King MIDAS who turns his daughter marigold into solid gold. It was a lot of fun to film, and we hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did making it. Big love to Amy-Beth McCarthy for being our ‘Marigold’.” – Rhys Hyett-Ferrier (Vocals)

Death Blooms
Music Video: Sick
Release Date: 27/06/17
Hailing from Liverpool and Manchester, Death Blooms have just released the 2nd single “Sick” from their self-titled debut EP. The metalcore four-piece burst onto the scene earlier this year with their stunning first music release ‘I’m Dead’ and a number of live shows which has seen them sharing the stages with the likes of Dope, Skindred, Raging Speedhorn, (Hed)P.E., Anti-Clone and more.
Death Blooms are supporters of mental health charity MIND, and take on metal with meaning. Vocalist Paul Barrow says, “We talk to people a lot who’ve taken the time to listen to our music, and because the lyrics encapsulate what many of us feel on a daily basis, a lot of folk make the connection quickly about mental health and the need for well-being in this fast and furious digital age.” He also explains the meaning behind the song and new video, “‘Sick’ is about the constant struggle inside of your own thoughts and the journey you undertake along the way. Sometimes, you feel like you have complete control of the situation and other times you have absolutely none. ‘Sick’ is about wanting to break free from your own shackles, but acknowledging and accepting that this is who you are. It’s good to talk about how you feel and to be honest, most importantly, with yourself. I feel like the song ended up being one massive therapy session for me.”

October Ends
Music Video: Faith In Me
Release Date: 24/05/17
Powerful metalcore quartet October Ends, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, released a brand new music video for their latest single “Faith In Me” recently. Combining the best assets and features of the metal genre that are presented to the general audience through the outstanding and unique talent of the band’s members in terms of instrumental proficiency and song writing abilities, “Faith In Me” perfectly represents and showcases dynamic, moving and aggressive approach to creating direct metal compositions, mixed with October Ends’ collective willingness to form diversified, original and outstanding sound that can be related only to the band’s specific profile.
“This song is about battling your own mental health issues (whether it’s anxiety, depression or other factors) and asking loved ones to trust and to hear your cry for help, as we are now in a world where people find it a lot harder to be able to find the confidence in someone they can trust to speak about their personal issues they are facing. We’ve either all been there or we’re still going through it, but all it takes is to make the first move and ask for help. We hope that “Faith In Me” will connect with people who are struggling with situations like this, because no matter what happens behind closed doors, you’re never alone.” – October Ends

Seasonal
Music Video: Headphones
Release Date: 05/06/17
Hailing from Guildford, Surrey, Seasonal formed as a trio in 2016, and later became a quartet.
After 9 months of writing and working on their repertoire, the band headed into the studio with the intention of recording just one track. However, upon hearing the first mix, they were inspired to dive in, going on to lay down all of the tracks that became their debut EP “Bloom” which includs “Headphones”. The result is an emotionally weathered offering of heartfelt pop rock, reminiscent of Jimmy Eat World, Deaf Havana and Taking Back Sunday. Noting influences from both the ‘old’ and the ‘new’, they feel the acts they adore have shaped their sound, but that they offer something different.

Malum Sky
Music Video: Eye Above
Release Date: 26/05/17
The track “Eye Above” is a hammerjack of a cut and ideally showcases the band’s increased diversity and imposing prowess. The progressive metal crew are also primed to hit the UK with an onslaught of shows, as well as a new EP out later in the year. For updates, stay glued to the band’s social media sites.
Formed in 2014 and hailing from Cardiff, Malum Sky soon set about releasing their self-titled debut EP in the Summer of 2015. The release garnered a strong response throughout the musical fraternity with Discovered Magazine citing that “Malum Sky come with a progressive spine and are easily ones to watch”. Due to the success of the EP and persistent live shows throughout their regional area, the alt-metallers soon amassed an army of dedicated followers throughout South Wales. Regrettably, just as the band were on the cusp of breaking out to a national audience, their original vocalist, Abraham, left the group. Buoyed by the response from the EP and live performances, the band regrouped and set about finding a suitable replacement. Ben Honebone stepped up to fill the void, and throughout 2016, the quintet burrowed away in the rehearsal room, ready to return with a modified sound that has a distinctly harder, edgier tilt.

TRUTH
Music Video: Gemini
Release Date: 07/05/17
South Welsh metal quartet Truth is back with their first single after 2 years of developing its sound and building a strong foundation. The band have finally released a long-anticipated debut video for “Gemini”.
Truth, the post-hardcore/metalcore formation is set to stampede its way through the scene with thunderous riffs and the intense drive to be something unique.
“This song is about one person living two very different lifestyles. The life his loved ones think he leads and the life he actually leads. “Gemini” was the first song we began to write for our new record and was the first step in the direction we wanted our new sound to follow. This track is a very honest composition and has a dark undertone. Though it has been proved challenging to write and record, we knew that we had to keep pushing through, because we knew we had something unique, especially compared to the other songs we have written in the past. It was a risk and definitely put us out of our comfort zone, because it has a lot of different elements that we weren’t used to, both musically and lyrically. We were so used to writing the same thing over and over again, just to please people who like this genre of music, but with “Gemini”, we think that we made something that we would want to listen to ourselves. We think that this type of music gets a bad reputation these days with plenty of bands sounding the same and essentially playing the same songs just with different titles and being too scared to step outside of the box. We believe “Gemini” is a step closer to revitalising this music scene.” – TRUTH

Order Of Voices
Music Video: Long For Air
Release Date: 13/03/17
Prog rock quintet Order Of Voices released the music video for Long For Air recently. This song is taken from their superb new album ‘Constancy’ which was released in March this year.
” ‘Constancy’ has taken the band through a massive journey of self-discovery and improvement. The journey has involved some show stopping technical glitches, many hours of late night soul searching, elation, anger, desperation and joy, also not forgetting the odd birth and death. All this and more has contributed to the album, all this is present in the notes recorded and when the album title is dissected, you’ll find everything you need to know about ORDER OF VOICES present in the meaning – Constancy: The quality of being unchanging or unwavering, as in purpose, love, or loyalty; firmness of mind; faithfulness.“ – Order Of Voices

Fizzy Blood
Music Video: Pawn
Release Date: 12/05/17
FIZZY BLOOD, one of the most lively live bands today from Leeds, have unveiled a new video for their new single PAWN. Taking inspiration from 80s instructional tapes, the video pokes fun at the world of manufactured boy bands and features equal measures of fuzz, oddball behaviour and unhinged energy.
“The video for ‘PAWN’ shot on VHS and was made to emulate the style of those horrible 80’s PSA videos. I like the way that kind of corny, un-self-aware, salesmen like attitude parodies the attitudes within the mainstream music industry even today and hopefully that comes across when people watch it. It was shot within a day in an art studio in Leeds and a lot of our mates came down, dressed up and got involved in the making of the video so we had a lot of fun making it.” – Paul Howells, Guitars
2017 is shaping up to beFIZZY BLOOD’s biggest year yet. The band made their second appearance atSXSW, which was followed by the aforementioned 19-date run with While She Sleeps. FIZZY BLOOD will kick off a hefty festival schedule, which will include;
The Great Escape
Liverpool Sound City
Camden Rocks

The Franklys
Music Video: Weasel
Release Date: 14/04/17
Album Release Date: 23/06/17
Weasel is The Franklys‘ latest single off from their forthcoming album Are You Listening? which is due to be released on 23rd June.
The Franklys are comprised of two members from Sweden and two from England and play frenetic garage rock with heavy and psychedelic overtones á la Led Zeppelin-Blondie-Strokes-QOTSA-punk-pop-rock-madness. They have built a reputation for themselves as one of the most exciting live bands on the London circuit and beyond with relentless touring across the UK, Europe and America, including a recent support tour with Airbourne and festival slots at Isle of Wight 2015 and Download Festival 2016.
‘Are You Listening?’ The Franklys demand an answer, scrawling it across the cover of their debut album. The album finds the band at their full creative tilt. It encapsulates their live energy and replicates perfectly the thrill of their live show. The Franklys say “We made a conscious decision to try and make as versatile record as possible with a mixture of energetic pop rock songs together with garage, punk, indie, hard rock and funk. Miss Vincent
Music Video: Cold Hands
Release Date: 02/05/17
EP SOMEWHERE ELSE Release Date: 19/05/17
“This video was a lot of fun to make. The whole thing is shot from one static angle, which is a nod to The Ramones’ I Wanna Be Sedated video and older styles of film making. We found this amazing place that looked like it hadn’t been touched since the 50s, with a really cool vintage vibe to it, and we changed almost nothing about the room to film in it. The song is about the almost addictive nature of sadness, how it can become a habit rather than a reaction, and we wanted to translate that as succinctly as possible into the video. We wanted to get across that feeling of being stuck in a rut, but also the ways to get out of it. We stuck a load of references to our favourite things too – from films like Forrest Gump, The Room, The Shining, (and even Spinal Tap), to books and graphic novels. Oh, and my cat Vincent is in it, and he totally steals the show.” – Alex Marshall, Vocal/Guitar
The EP showcases a sonic progression towards a fuller-throttled, punk influenced and more raw soundscape, which can be seen in COLD HANDS and previous single THE LOVERS.
The band have also announced two shows to mark the release of their new EP SOMEWHERE ELSE:
26th May – Joiners, Southampton
5th June – The Garage (Upstairs), London

Shmoo
Music Video: Head To Toe
(Release Date: 25/02/17)
Single Release Date: 26/05/17
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXnXWLg4MMI
“Head To Toe” is a Krautrock Behemoth of a Track –
that has truly all the makings of an Electronic Classic and accompanied by yet another inspired Music Video directed by the Shmoo brothers.
The video to “Head To Toe” is very stylised and beautifully shot, with subtle links to previous videos “Ghost” and “Plastic Surgery”. In a year when we see a return of Blade Runner, have Shmoo now become robots themselves? With amazing sets and locations used, that wouldn’t seem out of place in a Stanley Kubrick film, this music video with a twist is cleverly executed, and complements the track brilliantly.
