Haunch
Debut Album: Lay My Bones Beside The Others
Release Date: 26th January 2018
Hailing from Larne (Latharna in Irish, it sounds more exotic!), a seaport and industrial market town in Northern Ireland, Haunch have recently released their debut album “Lay My Bones Beside The Others”.
You hear the range of alternative rock sounds with grunge flavours through this 11-track album. Their sound is polished and fresh. However it has the ’90s vibes which makes it somehow easier to go into their music. The contrast of the moods within this production is fantastic. I feel that it will appeal to a wide audience. You will enjoy their tunes especially if/when you see them play at the festivals. This album is one of my firm recommendations so far this year.
Haunch consist of ex- and current members of Throat, Dutch Schultz and Therapy? (Rory McGeown, Willy Mundell & Michael McKeegan). The trio bonded over a love of
90’s noise/alternative rock, and recorded the album with the simple maxim, which is described by the band as ‘dark, distorted pop songs’.
