TOWNeS – “MANHOLeS” Single

TOWNeS is an indie alt pop / electoric-pop group from the Mid-West, USA.
The band name is purposely stylized with all capital letters and a lower case “e”, TOWNeS‘ imagery puts emphasis on the letter that is most often omitted when attempts are made to spell the band’s name. Very unique! This also helps to breed their social media handle, “Townes With An E” stylized as “TOWNeSWITHANe”.

Combining elements of live instrumentation, electronic synths, luxurious vocals -and- mixing genres such as edm, pop and indie rock, they allure listeners, through song, to take on their world of inward emotions, beliefs, life experiences and some just-plain made-up scenarios. TOWNeS are often compared to Banks, Tove Lo, Sia, Lana Del Rey and Broods with regard to their experimental vocal production and unconventional use of non-instruments as rhythmic foundations.

TOWNeS explained to me about their unique debut single “MANHOLeS”; it’s a tune about the dreaded moment a person drops their iPhone into a storm-drain -aka- manhole.

TOWNeS‘s debut single “MANHOLeS” will be available on iTunes from January 20th 2015.
They plan to complete a trilogy release of EPs,  eVeRYTHING,  eVeRYONe  and  eVeRYWHeRe,  with a single release between each, by July of 2015.
TOWNeS is one of the musicians you should keep your eyes(ears) on this year.
