New Release – neutronic

Single : “13 hours” by neutronic

Release Date: 13 April 2015

Today, I am sharing the new music from neutronic, a down-tempo indie pop duo from Chester, England.

The song “13 hours” is their second single and will be released less than a month time. This electro-post rock track features the charming vocals.
Currently you can listen to the song via SoundCloud;

After a one-off electro pop collaboration in 2012, Chester-based duo Paul Davies and Iuliana Calenciuc decided to work together again with a new focus and neutronic was born in 2014.
Inspired by the minimal, downtempo, indie pop of acts like The XX, London Grammar and Lapsley, their first song ‘Closer’ showcased contrasting male/female vocals (UK/Romania accents) that united perfectly over an understated, atmospheric backdrop.
The song was posted on Soundcloud in late November and was picked up by BBC Radio 6 Music (Introducing Mixtape – The Tom Robinson Show) in January 2015, the month of its official release.

Their follow up single “13 hours” showcases a darker, more electronic sound still rich in atmosphere but with themes of loss rather than discovery.
It is the second of a batch of songs that neutronic are working on and an EP and live shows are being planned for later in the year.
“We chose these songs to release first as they have a slightly different style to each other but the distinctive dual vocal style is still at the forefront giving it that neutronic sound”, Paul tells us. “We wanted to make sure we would give a good impression and impact with our first songs and we have been delighted with the response so far!” I think that they are achieving what they are aiming for so far.
