Single: Take It Or Leave It

Take It Or Leave It is the second release by Guildford based 4 piece Alt-Rock band CREEK.

Straight away the song grabs you with its punchy opening riff before mellowing out through the first verse. The band describe the song as being about the confusion and conflicting emotions you go through following a breakup, and you can really feel the emotion expressed through not just the smooth yet powerful vocals but through to every instrument and the musicians attached to them.

Take It Or Leave It is a great alt-rock track that takes you through all the emotions and all the feelings of anger, sadness, loneliness and even acceptance that you may experience through the aforementioned break-up.

I really like the pre-chorus which I get a slight Incubus vibe from, I think it’s the prominent bassline and the note progression, which reminds me a little bit of the chorus on ‘Talk Shows on Mute’.

This release shows that CREEK are a really talented group and there’s hopefully lots more to come from them. Take It Or Leave It? I’ll take it!
