New Single: Burn
Release Date: 22 February 2019

Hailing from Edinburgh, House Of Hatchets are an Alt Metal band formed in 2016.

A year after they released their commendable debut EP “The Grind”, I heard from the band. The band talked about their new material, and said “… definitely a step up, sounds massive!” This was exciting news. But I had to wait for almost nine months until I eventually had an opportunity to listen to their new music. And the new single “Burn” which was finally released on 22nd February.

They maintain their drop-tuned driven guitars, fast and furious heavy drums and a blend of screamed and sung lyrics. Though this track is stronger and has more depth than before. Chris’ vocal is authentic and distinctive, which gives House Of Hatchets their additional uniqueness. They are now setting the bar even higher.

“Burn” is the first single from their forthcoming album “Reach”, which will be released in the late spring. Obviously I cannot wait for the release, and there will be a lot of talk about the album.

The vocalist, Chris Allison tells us about the meaning of this track:
– It’s about obsession, lust, and wanting, to the detriment of yourself. A nihilistic love song of self-immolation. It was a tough thought line to follow because there is no peace in the lyrics, no redemption. We’ve all felt pangs of jealousy, possessiveness, and desperation. This song is these things turned up until you can see and hear nothing else.
